Gary “Hank” Hankison, 74 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on April 2, 2024, at his residence under the care of Genesis Hospice.
He was born on July 10, 1949, in Logan, Ohio, son of the late Eugene (Nancy) Hankison and Geraldine (Anthony) Plusinski. Hank was a Vietnam veteran of the Army, serving from 1967-1970. He was a Master Electrician and a member of the VFW Post #1058 of Zanesville. In his spare time, he previously enjoyed riding his motorcycle and skydiving with his wife, Kris.
Hank is survived by his wife, Kris Lang; daughters, Shala (Erinn Nicley) Hankison, Jessica (Justin VanSickle) Eveland; brother, Nelson Hankison; sisters, Karla (Chris) Tussing, Michelle Woodarski; grandson, Tristan Nicley; special sister, Char; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Gina Hoch and his brother-in-law, John Woodarski.
Per Hank’s wishes, no calling hours or services will be held at this time. A dignified cremation will take place through DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the care and compassion provided by Genesis Hospice.
