Gary Wayne Hogan, 72 of Zanesville, passed away on December 30, 2025, at Cedar Hill Care Center in Zanesville.
He was born on May 4, 1953, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late William Hogan and Laura (Layton) Hogan. Gary worked at the Times Recorder and later at Goodwill Industries for many years. He enjoyed building model cars, playing pool, his CB Radio, and riding his 10 speed wherever it would go.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Karen (Brandon) Newell; grandchildren, Christopher (Makenzie) Stotts Jr., Casie Stotts, Cody Stotts; great grandchildren, Kaelynn, Eliana, Emry, and Elias; brothers, John Hogan and Bill Hogan; sisters, Janice Goldsmith, Connie Dusenberry, and Patricia Hogan; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Crystal Hogan; and brother-in-law, Richard Goldsmith.
In memory of Gary, donations can be made to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses.
Calling hours will be held Friday January 2, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Darren Tolbert officiating. A dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning following services.
