Fred M Bauer

Fred M. Bauer, 60 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on March 29, 2023, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.

He was born on July 11, 1962, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Max E. Bauer and Eula (harper) Bauer. Fred worked at Goodwill in Zanesville, Ohio. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching his NASCAR, building model cars, and spending time with his dog, Bear.   

He is survived by his girlfriend, Michele Hunter; brothers, Eddie “Max” Bauer, William (Tina) Bauer; sisters, Kimberly (Donald) Lagrange, Sherry Brown, Katrina (Frank) Donelson, Cindy (Jeff) Bugglin; stepsons, Christopher Hunter, Gerald Ault; step daughters, Mary Ault, Rachelle Hunter; several grandchildren; special dog, Bear; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Riffle) Bauer; sister, Kathryn Dennis; brother-in-law, Ted Brown, Donald Dennis; and nephew, Donny Dennis.

Calling hours will be held on Friday March 31, 2023, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be held on Friday March 31, 2023, at 3:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. A dignified cremation will follow services. Fred will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
