Ethel Louise Patterson

Ethel L. Patterson, 92 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024, at her home.

She was born on May 7, 1932, in Ohio, daughter of the late Charley Johnson and Nora Johnson. Ethel was a member of the Tree of Life Church in Zanesville.

Ethel is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Lee) Martin; grandchildren, Jana Gray, Caryn Reynolds, Tracie Louck, Brandie Louck, Jared Arbuckle; great grandchildren, Austin (Taylor) Back, Noah Reynolds; great-great-grandchildren, Denni Back, Luca Back; sister-in-laws, Patricia Kirk, Carol (Bob) Norton; brother-in-law, Gordon (Linda) Patterson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, including Roy Flowers and Kay Kelley; special church friends, Ann Hayes, Beth and Carl Scott, Pam Shaw, and numerous others.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, James F. Patterson; daughter, Debra Arbuckle; grandson, Michael Sean Burns; brothers, Charley Johnson, Homer Johnson, Carl Johnson; sisters, Ruby Wells, Hazel Flowers, Evelyn Phipps; sister-in-law, Lois Kirby; brother-in-laws, Phillip Patterson, Douglas Patterson, Thad Kirk, and Larry Kirby.

Per Ethel’s wishes, an immediate burial will be held. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park with her loving husband.
