Estess L. Jenkins, 97 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2023, at Cedar Hill Nursing Home in Zanesville.
He was born on July 23, 1926, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Clarence Jenkins and Edna Jenkins. Estess was a veteran of the Army, having served in World War II and the Korean War. He later worked at American Match and Brockway Glass for 10 years, where he retired. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering in the garage, rebuilding things and wood working.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Laura (Harper) Jenkins; stepdaughter, Kelly Hawkins; and special friends, Larry Ball and Charles Scott.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Edna Jenkins; siblings, Pearl Jenkins, Mary Jenkins, and Helen Jenkins.
Per Estess wishes, no calling hours or services will be held at this time. A dignified cremation will take place. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
