Edward H Archer

Edward H. Archer, 83, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, at the Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville.

He was born on August 16, 1942, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Frances Archer and Rose Archer. Ed worked at Ballas Egg and later at Lear Tech / Essex Wire for over 30 years, where he retired. He enjoyed anything NASCAR and spending his time with his family and loved ones.

Ed is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Carol (Rose) Archer; 3 children: Heather Archer, Christopher Archer, and Richard Archer; sister, Rosemary Baker; 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his 5 brothers: Jim Archer, Carl Archer, Hugh Archer, John Archer, and Eugene Archer;  sisters, Sis Archer; and 1 sister at birth; 4 special dogs: Buddy, Peanut, Lindsey, and Bear.

Calling hours will be held on Monday December 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Trinity Full Gospel Church in Zanesville, where services will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Donny Rowland officiating. A dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home following services.
