Edith Juanita Shaffer

Edith J. Shaffer, 89 of 6670 Park Lane, died at 6:45 AM on May 26th, 2024, at the Beckett House at New Concord.

She was born on August 28, 1934, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of Arthur and Aily (Marsh) Shaffer. She retired from the Old Towne Cleaners. She was a member of the Tree of Life Christian Fellowship Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, and tending to her many animals.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Aily (Marsh) Shaffer; 4 brothers: Lloyd Earl, Bernard, Orval, and Carter Shaffer; and 2 sisters: Norma Johnson and Ruby Johnson.

Per Edith’s wishes, no calling hours or services will be held at this time. A dignified cremation will be held through DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Edith will be buried at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Sonora, Ohio.
