David J. Levere, 75 of Zanesville, passed away on March 10, 2022 at Genesis Hospital due to respiratory distress and complications from pneumonia.
He was born on January 20, 1947, in Zanesville, son of the late Harold Levere and Evelyn Albritian. He worked at Meadowgold Dairy and retired from Grief Brothers. After retiring, he worked at Bethesda Hospital in Supply. He was a member of the Market Street Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf and baseball with friends.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara Levere; daughter, Mikki (Dan) Kirts; brother-in-law, Jerry Paulus; cousins, Randy Richason, J.V.; grandchildren, Rena Kirts, Lana Kirts, and Eden Kirts. He also leaves behind his beloved pets, Chunky Monkey and Skinny Minnie.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Charity Paulus; and cousin, Cindy Richason.
No calling hours or services will take place. Per Dave’s wishes, a dignified cremation will take place.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Muskingum County Canine Adoption Center or the Muskingum County Animal Shelter in honor of Dave.
