Daniel Lee Rutledge

Daniel Lee Rutledge, 70 of Zanesville, passed away at his residence surrounded by family March 24, 2021.

He was born March 15, 1951 in Cincinnati, OH, son of the late, Alvin Thomas Rutledge and Patricia Ruth Kees Frederick.  Daniel worked for United Tech. as a Tools and Die operator.  He loved to fish, work on cars, watching football, eating and cooking. His specialty was chili, vegetable soup and fresh chocolate cake.

He is survived by his wife Rhea Rutledge, whom he married July 19, 1980; children, Sabrina (Grant) Alvord, Gayle (Amanda) Harry, Wendy (Wade) Stapleton, Heather (John Garrett) Ansel; brother Don (Teresa) Rutledge; sister-in-law Brenda Griffis; grandchildren, Lauren Gill, Christopher Harry, Randi Alvord, Skye Rinehart, Kaylee Ansel, Dakota Crittenden, Jamey Ansel, Danielle Alvord, William Wolfe, Caleb Wolfe, Caitlyn Harry, Wyatt Harry, Charleigh Harry; great-grandchildren, Zooey Rinehart, Makenna Ansel, Beckett Gill, Foster Gill, Emersyn Cuthbertson, Ryleigh Cuthbertson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Corder, Gary Griffis, and Archie Rutledge.

Per his wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be observed.
