Cindy S. Bailey

Cindy S. Bailey, 74 of Zanesville, passed away on April 18, 2025, peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at her residence.

She was born on June 5, 1950, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Andrew Lacey and Betty Lacey. Cindy was a graduate of Tri Valley High School in 1968. She worked for the Times Recorder for over 20 years, where she retired. She enjoyed rooting for her Pittsburgh Steelers and spending time with her loved ones.

Cindy is survived by her 2 children: Sam (Robin) Bailey Jr., Tami Bailey; grandchildren, Brett Bailey, Brittany (Annie) Bailey, Dekota Bailey; longtime friend, Pam Mox; special dog, JoJo; special grand dog, Claire; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Samuel “Bud” Bailey; brothers, Dave Lacey, Steve Lacey; special dogs, Chi Chi, Cory, and Locke.

Per Cindy’s wishes, no calling hours or services will be held. A dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Cindy will be laid to rest at Rosehill Cemetery at a later date.
