Charles Alfred Guttery

Charles “Bud”  Guttery, 79, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2021 at the Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio.

He was born on October 1, 1941, son of the late John Guttery and Florence Brown Guttery-Basalla. Charles was a veteran of the Army. He also worked many years on the Railroad and over 20 years in the Bowling Industry, while serving as the Zanesville Bowling Association Secretary Treasure. In his free time, he was an avid woodworker.  

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sandra Guttery; daughters, Tina (Rich) Huntsman, Tonya (Tom) Hale, Jodie (Tim) Dunn; sisters, Judy (Barry) Steed, Kandy (Mark) Lemaster; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, John Charles Guttery; and sister, Katherine Guttery.

A celebration of life graveside services for burial of cremains will be held on Friday September 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Cemetery in Zanesville, Ohio where full military honors will be conducted by the United States Army in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.
