Charles E. Davis

Charles E. Davis, 79, of New Lexington, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, at Altercare of Somerset Nursing Home.

He was born on May 14, 1946, in Perry County, Ohio, son of the late Clifford “Zeke” Davis and Alice (Campbell) Davis. Charles worked for Jack Town township for many years and was a volunteer firefighter for Jack Town for over 50 years. He was a member of the Eagles in Newark and loved collecting his hats and match box cars. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching his Western and Sci-Fi tv shows.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Connie Riggs; stepdaughters, Rachel Staten, Jennifer Kramer, and Jessica Bolyard; sister, Eileen Mitchell; ex-wife, Donna (McCormick) Davis; special friend and caregiver, Chantile Stine; grandchildren, Damien, Drew, Mackenzie, Payton, Bella; 1 great grandson; many friends and other family members.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Nancy Davis; 8 siblings: Edward Davis, Harold Davis, Richard Davis, Clifford Davis Jr., Susan Davis, Donna Danielson, Margie Knies, and Betty Roberts-Anderson.

A dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning following services.
