Charles Lewis Barker

Charles Lewis Barker, 85 of Philo, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2022, at Willow Haven Nursing Center in Zanesville, Ohio.

He was born on December 29, 1936, in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late James William Barker and Anna Irene (Beach) Phillips Barker. Charlie worked at Burnham Boiler for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and playing Euchre with friends and family.

He is survived by his siblings, Myrna (Harold Gordon) Fesler, Fred (Penny) Barker, James (Gloria) Barker; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Jamie Krouskoupf; sister-in-law, Cathy Barker; and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Richard (Ruth) Phillips, Keith Phillips, Clara (Ralph) Wickham, Patty (George) Harden, Melba (Burl) Mercer, and Edward Barker; significant other, Twila Rose Heistand.   

Per Charlie’s wishes, no calling hours or services will be held at this time. A dignified cremation will take place. A Graveside Memorial service will be held on November 19, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Saint John’s English Lutheran Cemetery at 6501-6597 Center Rd. Philo, Ohio 43771. DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home is assisting the Barker family with arrangements.
