Cathy Ann Hardy

Cathy Ann Hardy, 68, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on January 15, 2024, at her home.

She was born on September 1, 1955, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Delbert Warne Busche and Virginia (Ryan) Busche. Cathy was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church. She worked in the Corporate Finance Department at Genesis Healthcare for over 32 years. She was known to love sewing and crafting, but she was especially a good cook. She enjoyed vacationing and spending her time with her family, above all, being with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Mike Hardy; 3 children: Michelle (Matt) Mercer, Kiel (Jen Lutke) Hardy, Kevin (Nicole) Hardy; brother, Steve (Debbie) Busche; grandchildren, Max Mercer, Maddie Mercer, Blake Hardy, Benjamin Hardy, Brylee Hardy, Sam Lutke, Kody Lutke; sister-in-law, Dixie (Dick) Wiseman; nephews, Chad (Gina) Jerles, Brock (Amy) Jerles, Craig Busche; nieces, Lauren (Dustin) Tucker; special friends, Susie Mercer and Rhonda West; special dog, Hope; and special cat, Sasha.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Margaret and Richard Hardy; and brothers-in-laws, Dave Jerles and Gary Hardy.

Calling hours will be held on Friday January 19, 2024, from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Seth Ellis officiating. Burial will follow services at St. Paul cemetery in Zanesville, Ohio.
