Carol A. Brasseur, 77 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on April 11, 2024, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.
She was born on October 20, 1946, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Willard McNerney and Susanna (Savage) McNerney. Carol graduated from Adamsville High School in 1964 and worked at Longaberger Co for 15 years after being a stay-at-home mom. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Carol was an avid reader, loved watching cooking shows and shows about Alaska, and enjoyed mobile phone coloring pages. Above all, she enjoyed spending her spare time with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones.
She is survived by her 3 daughters: Julia (Michael) MacLean, Annette (Matthew) Calendine, Carolyn (Matthew Walter) Munyan; grandchildren, Jaclyn (Josh) Kohler, Johnathan (Sarah) MacLean, Samantha Munyan, Noah Calendine; great-grandchildren, Cameron Kohler, Wyatt Kohler; sister, Wilma (Daniel) Wolfe; sister-in-law, Glenna McNerney; special dogs, Minnie and Scoonie; and many other special grand fur babies.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Richard Brasseur; brothers, Robert McNerney, Charles McNerney, George McNerney, Lewis “Gene” McNerney; sisters, Alice Dobbins, Catherine McNerney, Ruth Thome and Doris Blomquist.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday April 14, 2024, from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home and Monday April 15, 2024, from 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM, where services will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Steve Robinson officiating. Burial will follow services at Saint Mary’s Church Cemetery in Lancaster, Ohio.
