Blanche C. Gill

Blanche C. Gill, 95 of Philo, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, at the Oaks of Northpointe Nursing Home.

She was born on November 19, 1929, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Arthur Jones and Blanche (Billman) Jones. Blanche graduated from Nashport High School and later worked at Gould Battery for several years, where she retired. She was a member of the First Christian Church and choir for over 30 years and a member of the Duncan Falls Baptist for the last 10 years.  Blanche loved her flowers and gardening. In her spare time, she enjoyed oil painting and crocheting. Above all, she loved spending her time with her family and loved ones.  

Blanche is survived by her daughters, Vonda Wojtyna, Virginia Gill; son, Earl Gill Jr.; brother, Robert Jones; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl Gill Sr.; 2 daughters: Rebecca Gill, Celia Miller; 4 brothers: Ed Jones, Arthur Jones, Franklin Jones, John Jones; and 2 sisters: Elizabeth Noel, Helen Garver.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday December 18, 2024, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. The family will be accepting visitors on Thursday December 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM, where services will be held at 11:00 AM with Pastor Gerry Wade officiating. Burial will conclude services at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
