Bishop Colette Monique (Speights) Jones

Bishop Colette Monique Jones, 62, of Groveport, OH, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at her residence surrounded by family.

Born January 22, 1957,  in Bellaire, OH, the seventh child of the late Nathaniel and Ollie Speights. Bishop Colette Jones was Senior Pastor and Co-Founder of the Power of Prayer Church Ministries.  Holding degrees in Biblical Theology and certificates of completion from World Harvest Bible College, Oral Roberts University and Liberty Institute of Biblical Studies.  First and foremost Bishop Colette was a mighty woman of God, ministering the Gospel locally and abroad.  A loving Bishop, Pastor, counselor, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, confidant and friend, Bishop Colette will be missed by many.

Survived by her daughters, Janee (William) Richard, Brigette Speights, Kimberly (Aaron) Milhoan; grandchildren, Elijah Dawkins, Emani Dawkins, Emmanuel Speights, Brianna Milhoan, Aaron Jeffery Milhoan, Maria-Janee Milhoan; brothers, Oscar (Grace) Speight, Nathaniel (Grace) Speights, Richard Speights, George Speights, Joseph (Ashley) Speights; sisters, Renee (Vincent) Dews, Mary Speights, Brigette (Yomi) Ogunniran, Sylvia  Jackson, Linda Berhane, Kathy (Olawale) Okeyinka, Jan Martin, Jodi Sealey, Dawn Ray Speights;

 a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.

Preceded in death by parents Nathaniel and Ollie Speights; brothers, Raymond Speights, Daniel Speights and niece Martisa Brieanne Palmer.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Power of Prayer Church Ministries, 2155 Curtis Street, Columbus, Ohio  43207. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Mary Speights officiating.   Burial will take place following services at Pioneer Cemetery, 865 South State Street, Westerville, OH 43081.
