Betty F. Willey, 95 of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on February 19, 2026, at her home.
She was born on December 21, 1930, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late William Carrel and Tula (Alberry) Carrel. Betty enjoyed doing yard work, sewing, and chasing dandelions. In her spare time, she liked working puzzles; but above all she loved spending time with her family and loved ones.
Betty is survived by her 3 children: Connie Stamper, Carol Willey, and Jimmy Willey; brother, Bill (Mary) Carrel; grandchildren, Chrissy (Justin Wilson) McKenzie, Heather (Ben) Ickes, Traci Stamper, Brandy (Aaron) Stamper-Saxton, Alisha (Alex) Smeltz, Josh Willey, and Tyler Willey; son-in-law, Phil McKenzie; several great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Robert Willey; 2 children: Roger Willey and Pam McKenzie; brother, Denna Carrel; 2 sisters: Mabel Dale and Laura Carrel; many friends and other family members.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday February 25, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Brian Owens officiating. Burial will conclude services.
