Betty E. McWhorter

Betty E. McWhorter, 60 of Zanesville, passed away on July 18, 2025, at the Genesis Morrison House of Zanesville.

She was born on November 9, 1964, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Fred McWhorter Sr. and Phyllis (Martindale) McWhorter.

Betty is survived by her mother, Phyllis Martindale; nephew, Phillip Stow; cousins, Judy Hoobler and Rita Davis; aunt, Wilma Marks; several nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins and friends.  

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother, Fred McWhorter Jr.; and sister, Shirley McWhorter.

Donations can be made to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home to help cover Betty’s funeral expenses.

Per Betty’s wishes, no calling hours or services will be held at this time. A dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home.
