Betty L. Kimes, 95 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on September 7, 2024, at the Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville.
She was born on August 11, 1929, in McConnelsville, Ohio, daughter of the late Paul Richardson and Emma (Knox) Fisher. Betty attended the Cornerstone Full Gospel Church in Duncan Falls. She was a homemaker and always enjoyed helping on the farm. She loved having her animals and working on crossword puzzles. Betty loved spending her free time with her family and loved ones.
Betty is survived by her 3 sons: Dale Miller, John (Joy) Miller, Gary Miller; 4 step-children: Sharon (Paul) Lawrence, Rodney Kimes, Delbert Kimes, Sherry Weiss; brother, Joseph (Tammy) Fisher; 2 sisters, Ella Mae Johnson, Michael Stotts; special grandchild, Sandy Kimes; several grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; several great-great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 21 years, Arthur Kimes; first husband, Robert E. Miller; 4 children: Marsha Wyatt, Carl Miller, Bobby Miller, Ruby Tabor; stepson, Kevin Kimes; 2 brothers: Thomas Fisher, Orville Fisher; sister, Catherine Fullmer; stepfather, Orville Fisher; and daughter in law, Vickie Miller.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday September 12, 2024, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Eric Waltemire officiating. Burial will conclude services at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
