Bernice A. Haines

Bernice A. Haines 80 of Zanesville, passed away Saturday December 26, 2020.

She was born December 30, 1939 in Zanesville, daughter of the late Harry and Lucille Harper.  She worked at Zanes Lanes and Sunrise Bowl, Frisch’s Big Boy and Sunny View Nursing Home.

She is survived by her daughters, Vickie Chiappone, Teresa Smith and Melody Smith; son Harry Fluhart; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Bill Haines; sisters, Violet Blake, Leona (Bob) Smith, Connie(Lyle) Watts; brothers, John Harper, Harry Harper Jr., Bill (Sonny) Harper; daughter Wendy Haines; sons, Bill, Lenny Fluhart; son-in-law Terry Chiappone, daughter-in-law Barb Fluhart; grandson Steve Hennessy Jr.

Calling hours will be held 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 31, 2020.  Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery.

Per family request all guests will be required to wear self-provided face coverings.  We ask anyone with flu like symptoms to refrain from attending services.
