Bernadetta "Bernie" A Hutchison

Bernadetta A. Hutchison, 93 of Nashport, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, at Brookdale Nursing Home in Zanesville.

She was born on November 10, 1931, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Walter J. Yinger Sr. and Clara M. (Crum) Yinger. Bernie was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Church in Zanesville, a charter member of the Women’s Eagles Auxiliary #302, and a former member of the Ladies Knights of Columbus. She worked as an LPN at Good Sam Hospital in Zanesville for 11 years. Bernie enjoyed traveling to all 50 states and loved baking in her free time, as she was known by her grandchildren as “Cookie”.

She is survived by her 4 children: Michael (Marsha) Hutchison, Dianna Gibbons, Anthony (Christina) Hutchison, Lorayn (Donald) Stillion; 5 grandchildren, WM. (Melissa) Gibbons Jr., Crystal Gibbons, Anthony (Alexandra) Hutchison Jr., Talen (Mohnay) Hutchison, Donald (Angie) Stillion; 10 great grandchildren, Hannah Gibbons, Joshua Gibbons, Christelle (Brandon) Lent, Christian (Katee) Hatfield, Gillian Hutchison, Vada Hutchison, Vallie Hutchison, Rohan Hutchison, Abigail Stillion, Elizabeth (Nathan) Benton; 4 great great-grandchildren, Noah Lent, Nash Lent, Nora Lent, Nyah Lent; 1 great grandchild on the way; 1 great-great grandchild on the way; sister in law, Betty Hutchison; great niece, Anita Richards; special friend, Martha Ullman.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Bernard L. Hutchison; 4 brothers, John Yinger, Walter Yinger Jr., Raphael Yinger, and Bernard Yinger.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday October 14, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday October 15, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Burial will conclude services at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Zanesville.
