Ardella “Della” Hardesty, 66 of Zanesville, passed away on December 4, 2024, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.
She was born on February 26, 1958, in Akron, Ohio, daughter of the late Clifford R. Stanley and Beulah (Slider) Stanley. Della was a graduate of Ellet High School in 1975. She worked as a secretary at North Terrace Church of Christ for about 20 years and later as a home health aid for Home Instead Senior Care. Della was a Christian by faith. She loved genealogy, music, and working on stained glass. Above all, she loved spending her time with her children and grandchildren.
Della is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Jerry Hardesty; daughters, Kristen (Stewart) Mickelson, Tracey (Jeremy) Matthews; grandchildren, Evan, Benjamin; brother, Clifford (Sharon) Stanley Jr.; special friends, Julie Vansickle, Amy Karr, Donald (Mary) Janicki, William “Bill” Meige; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; nieces, Mary Hemphill, April Hale; honorary daughters, Lee McGee, Sarah Snyder; many church friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Josh Hardesty; sister, Mary Stanley; special family friend, Richard Brown; and nephew, Robert Hubert.
Per Della’s wishes, no calling hours or services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
