Amy Lee Newton

Amy Lee Newton, 47 of Zanesville, passed away unexpectedly on April 15, 2025, at her residence.

She was born on February 27, 1978, in Owensboro, Kentucky, daughter of the late William Jerrells and Joyce (Conkle) Jerrells-Metz. Amy was a graduate of Zanesville High School in 1996. She worked at PCC Airfoils and Conn’s Potato Co. for several years; and most recently Kroger’s in Virginia. She was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts, crocheting, playing cards, online shopping, and her favorite color was purple. In her spare time, she loved reading her Bible and spending time with her loved ones.

Amy is survived by her 4 children: Tiffany Jerrells, Skyler (Briana) Jerrells, Jazlynn Jerrells, Tony (Kayla Hiett) Newton; mother, Joyce Metz; step father, Roger Metz; brothers, Randy Jerrells, Scott Jerrells, Billy (Loraine) Jerrells; grandchildren, Adrian, Taylin, Talayla, Trighton, Aloura, Adalyn, Karsen, Kamden, Kallen; special aunt and uncle, Tammy Conkle, Mike (Naomi Taylor) Conkle; special cousin, Lori Harris; special dog, Bella; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Timothy S. Newton; grandma, Betty (Wilson) Jerrells; grandpa, William Jerrells; special dogs, Cassie, Rocket, Zack, Chloe, and Zoey.

A celebration of Life Service will be held at Westwood Baptist Church 2395 East Pike, Zanesville, OH 43701, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM Saturday, May 3rd 2025, with a meal and fellowship to follow.
