Ruth M (Bell) Murphy

Ruth Murphy, 94 died September 15, 2018 at her residence in Zanesville, OH.

Ruth was born on November 29, 1923 in Zanesville, the daughter of William and Mary Bell.

In her early years, Ruth enjoyed caring for the new babies and her foster children Mark, Cindy and Louise (Lu Ann).  In her later years she worked at Krogers and retired in 2004 after working as a cook for 28 years in the Zanesville City Schools.

Surviving are a son, Robert Murphy and two daughters, Ruth Ann Sentivany and Norma Jane Wymer.

Ruth was a grandma to twelve children, Beth Smith, Amy, Cheri, Debbie, and James Sentivany, Maria Davis, Sarah, Dana and Chad Brennan, Andy, Christine and Colleen Murphy; She had nineteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Sowers Montgomery, Freda Parsons and her brother Kenneth Bell.

Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home.  A dignified cremation will follow the service.
