Ronnie Lee Norris

Ronnie Lee Norris 73, of Zanesville, passed away April 5, 2018 at his residence.

He was born July 28, 1944 in Zanesville, son of the late, Elzie Norris and Berneda Mayle Norris.  He was a veteran in the United States Air Force, military police, working at the Newark Air Force Base.  He retired from Licking County Sherriff’s department. He also owned and operated Razor’s Edge barber shop and graduated from Ohio University of Zanesville with a bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement.    

He is survived by his wife, whom he married August 5th 1992,  Patricia Pierce Norris of Zanesville; son, Dustin Pierce of London of Ohio; daughter, Stacey (Duane) Pyle-Scott of Lewisville, OH; sisters, Shelia Norris-Dickinson of Zanesville, Jacqueline (Jeff) Walker of Belpre; nephew, Larry (Jacki) Dickinson of Pickerington, Jason Walker of Parkersburg; cousin, Theresa Lynn Cade of Zanesville; grandchildren, Alexis Pletcher, Logan Pletcher, Dylan Pierce; special friend, Andrea Decosky.

Calling hours will be held 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10th 2018 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Air Force in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.  A dignified cremation will follow the service.
