Robert Wayne Dupler

Robert Wayne Dupler, 69, of Zanesville, passed away December 17, 2018 at his residence.

He was born January 27, 1949 in Somerset, OH son of the late Wayne Dupler and Verna Forgrave Dupler.

He was a Vietnam Army veteran and attended Ohio University of Zanesville.  He was avid sports fan of basketball, football.  He graduated from Sheridan High School and played high school basketball.  He had numerous three point shots for Sheridan.  He was co-owner of Starbright Cab Co. which him and his wife Carolyn started in June 2000.  He loved Lynyrd Skynrd and spending time with his family and little dogs.

He is survived by his wife of forty-three years Carolyn Shimer Dupler; children, Rochelle (Bob) Hughes, Malissa (Mike Crawford) Miller, Roger (Melissa Hlad) Miller, Tricia Dupler, Susan (Derek Clapper) Dupler, Cory (Katie) Dupler; grandchildren, Charlie (Sarah) Johnson, Schalyn (Derek) Shaner, Jessica (Lyndon) Gresham, Katie (Chandler)
Bates, Justin Bates, Gabriel, John and Braxton Dupler, Kristine Somers, Dakota Denton, Walker Miller, Ethan Miller, Troy Dupler, Alicia (Jesse) Garber, Richard (Brandi) Gibson, Tyler Gibson, Danielle Dupler, Josilyn Dupler; seventeen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Ann Dupler.

Calling hours will be held 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Thursday, December 20, 2018 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home where services will take place at 4:00 PM with full Military honors conducted by the United States Army in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.  A dignified cremation will follow the service.
