Harold “Dick” Edwin Smith

Harold “Dick” Edwin Smith, 86 of New Concord, passed away December 17, 2017 at his residence, surrounded by family.

He was born August 3, 1931 in New Athens, OH, son of the late, Charles Smith and Bridgett Smith.  He was a veteran in the United States Air Force.  He retired from Champion Spark Plug after thirty years of service.  Dick owned and operated Smith Motors, in New Concord, OH.   He was a member of the New Concord United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, whom he married March 17, 1956, Joy Humphries Smith; sons, Dick (Vickie) Smith of Cambridge, Jeff (Traci) Smith of New Concord, Kenny (Vicki) Smith of New Concord; daughter-in-law, Mindy Smith of New Concord; grandchildren, Brandon, Dillon, Bryce, Bryan, Micah and Cash.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, David Smith and Chuck Smith; brothers, Charles Smith, Jim Smith, John Smith; sisters, Margaret Weiskircher, Eleanor Cusick and Betty Bennett.

No calling hours will be observed a dignified cremation will take place.
