Gladys Irene (Schenk) McDaniel

Gladys Irene McDaniel, 89, of Zanesville, passed away January 4, 2018 at Willow Haven Nursing Center.

She was born April 21, 1928 in Alliance OH, daughter of the late, William Schenk and Freda Miller Schenk.  She worked at East Side Ministries and was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters, Lora (Carmen) Castle of North Carolina, Tammy (Russ) Waldrop of South Carolina; step-son, Tommy (Donna) McDaniel of Florida; grandchildren, Michelle Gemmell of Heath and Steven Wheeler of Florida; great-grandchildren, Dillion Gemmell, Dalton Gemmell, Shayla Wheeler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas McDaniel; brothers, Elmer Schenk, William Schenk; sister, Mildred Dowler.

Calling hours will be held 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2018 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
