Genevieve L. (Samborski) Buker

Genevieve L. Buker, 92 of Monroe, OH, passed away October 25, 2018 at her residence.

She was born October 20, 1926 in Zanesville, daughter of the late Elias Samborski and Antonina Semenowicz Samborski.  She was a secretary for Greif Brothers for twenty-two years and member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children, Antonina “Toni” Hoffer of Odenton, MD, Diana Eesley of Marietta, OH, David (Cheryl) Hoffer of FL, Ellen (Dan) Wittekind of Maineville, OH; sisters, Victoria Durant and Janine Patton; grandchildren, Christopher Rabbu of Atlanta, GA, Emma Wittekind and Evan Wittekind of Maineville, OH.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Louis T. Hoffer, James Elick, John Buker; son Walter Hoffer; brothers, Joseph Samborski and infant brother Francis Samborski.

Genevieve was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed knitting, baking and gardening. 

Calling hours will be held 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday November 2, 2018 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home where a Christian Vigil will be held at 6:45 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 11:00 am Saturday November 3, 2018 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 955 East Main Street, Zanesville, with Fr. Martin J. Ralko as Celebrant.  Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
