Frances Ruth Johnson Grubb, 88, of Zanesville, passed away March 9, 2018 at her residence, surrounded by family.
She was born December 22, 1929 in Waterford, OH, daughter of the late Lester Johnson and Ruth Jackson Johnson. Frances was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She attended the First Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was a nurse’s aide; she loved fishing, bowling, and playing cards with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Darla (Ken) Mason of Zanesville; daughter-in-law, Jill Grubb of Zanesville; grandchildren, Robert (Amanda) Collins, Andrea (Jeff) Patridge, Kyle (Emmy) Grubb, Zach (Stephanie) Grubb, and Sean (Taylor) Grubb; great-grandchildren, Bryson Collins, Madalyn Collins, Peyton Patridge, Wyatt Patridge, Jameson Grubb, Charlotte Grubb, Beckett Grubb, Carrigan Grubb; siblings, Jim (Arlene) Schwalbach, Carole Boling, Janet (Jerry) Locke, Patti (Buddy) Lyles; several nieces, nephews; special cat, Pumpkin; friend, Carol Bates.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bryson Adair Grubb; son, William Michael Grubb; sister, Pamela Davis; step-mother, Wanetta Johnson; friend, Larry Fulkerson.
Calling hours will be held 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Nuhfer. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
