Elsie Mildred (Marple) Black

Elsie Mildred Black, 94, of Zanesville, passed away March 14, 2017 at Genesis Morrison House.

She was born June 24, 1922 in Zanesville, daughter of the late, Harland Marple and Daisy Anderson Marple.

She is survived by her sons, Donald R. Black of Texas, George H. (Judy) Black of Zanesville; grandchildren, Wendy Elliot, Brian (Mellissa) Black both of Texas, Charlie (Michelle) Cordial of Zanesville, Tina (James) Barnett of Tennessee; special friends, Connie Northrup and Birdie Marple.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George E. Black; brothers, Bernard Marple, Harold Marple, Ray Marple, Eddie Marple; sister, Adaline Gibbs.

Calling hours will be held 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Friday, March 17, 2017 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
