Chip A. Wilson, age 38, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends on Monday, August 14th, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was a fighter and did not give up easily but god saw him getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around him and whispered “Come To Me”.

Chip was born November 7, 1978 in Zanesville, Ohio, a son of Susie J Wilson and the late, William A Ferguson. He attended Maysville High School, Class of 1998.  Chip was a great athlete and well-known football player at MHS.  He respected playing for Matt Starner, his favorite coach. Chip enjoyed playing and watching football, shooting pool, listening to music, watching movies, and simply spending time with his family and friends.  Chip could never meet a stranger.  He was an incredible strong-willed person and loving son, father, brother, uncle and friend.  He had a very kind heart and quick wit and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Susie J. Wilson; step-mother, Cindy Ferguson; his four children, Blake (Chelsey) Wilson, Madison Wilson, Carder and Cooper Wilson; five brothers, Jay (Janet) Wilson, Gary (Crissy) Wilson, Chad (Sarah) Wilson, Zachary Wilson, Steve Ashford and a sister, Delilah Worden; his nieces and nephews, Angel Wilson, Alex Wilson, Garrison Wilson, Grant Wilson, Avery Wilson, Parker Trout, Casen Wilson and Zoey Worden.  He is also remembered by the mother of his children and high school sweetheart Carrie Strickler (Blake & Madison), Elissa Smith (Carder & Cooper), mother of Angel and Alex, Stacy Hutchison; cousins, Marianne, Renee, Joe, Richard Wood and several, special friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, William A. Ferguson; grandmother, Marjorie Wood; uncle, Gary Wood (Uncle Woody), and baby sister, Angel.
