Charles E. Offinger Sr.

Charles Eugene Offinger Sr., 86, of Zanesville, passed away November 4, 2017 at Genesis Hospital.

He was born August 21, 1931 in Zanesville, son of the late, Richard Offinger and Ruth McCarty Offinger.  He was a veteran in the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of the Eagles and worked for Putnam Transfer for thirty years.

He is survived by his children, Thomas Offinger, Krystal (Scott) Sterling, Charles Offinger Jr., Scott (Kristine) Offinger, Mark Offinger; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Cramer Offinger; three siblings.

Calling hours will be held 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park with full military honors conducted by the United States Army in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.
