Charles Ray DeVore, age 75, of Zanesville, OH, died due to complications from a long term illness on Monday, March 18, 2019 at UPMC East Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.
Charles was born on February 29th, 1944 in New Lexington, OH. He worked at Nelson McCoy Pottery in Roseville, OH, as a night watchman/kill burner till his retirement in 2003. He then went to work with his daughter, who owned a P&D Home FedEx route, making deliveries in Wheeling, WV. Charles in his spare time loved to fish, hunt, work on cars, and play his guitar.
He was preceded in death by his mother Violet Mae Eveland.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Lou (Weidig) DeVore; daughter, April Lynn DeVore of Pittsburgh; sister, Donna (DeVore) Pettit; three brothers, Frank Eveland, Roger Eveland, and Lewis Jr. DeVore, and countless nieces and nephews.
A private burial will take place at Zanesville Memorial Park.
