William F. "Willie" Tyo

William F. “Willie” Tyo, 72, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away October 29, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born August 20, 1943 in Zanesville, son of the late John F. and Clarice Smith Tyo. 

William was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam Era.  He worked for Burlington Motors and Yellow Cab Company and was a member of Zanesville Eagles #302.

He is survived by three sons, Robert Tyo, Randy (Stephanie) Tyo and Wayne (Rhonda) Tyo; two daughters, Rose Tyo (Dan Pilkington) and Bea Tyo (H. Powell); brothers, Raymond Hostettler of Virginia, Roger (Cam) Tyo; sisters, Patricia Bromley and Samantha (Dave) Stoneburner, twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren, including, Sadie, Paige and Gage Tyo, whom he raised.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth A. Tyo; brothers, Randy Savage, Johnny Hostettler and Richard and Butch Tyo; daughter, Kelly Stewart and one grandson and one great-grandson.

Calling hours will be held 4 - 6 pm Monday, November 2, 2015 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home.
