William L. "Bill" Hiles

William L. “Bill” Hiles, 74 of Zanesville, OH passed away peacefully at his home on June 14, 2017.

He was born July 25, 1942, the son of William and Ruth Hiles. He served his county in the US Navy and worked at Mid-Atlantic Canners for 20 years. Bill loved fishing, riding his motorcycles and spending time with family.

 He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Juanita Hiles; two children Chris (Dan) Marple, Teresa (Tom) Lichtner, daughter in law Rochelle (Mick) Rutter, brothers, Ronnie (Mary) Hiles, Bernard (Patty) Hiles, Pat Hiles, 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and his beloved dog Maggie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Jeff Rodgers, granddaughter Tasha Lichtner, sisters Pearl, Mary, and his two German Shepherds, Zak and Sissy.

Calling hours will be held 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 19, 2017 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with full Military Honors by the United States Navy in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058.
