Wilda K. Hamilton

Wilda K. Hamilton, 91, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away at 7:20 AM Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Adams Lane Care Center.

She was born December 9, 1923 in New Straitsville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Arthur Hanning and Violet Johnson Maxwell.

She was a homemaker and mother of fourteen children: 7 surviving sons, Larry ”Mike”, Stephen (Patty), Harry, Barry, Charles, George and Billy Hamilton; 2 surviving daughters, Rita (Charles) Kelly and Peggy Hamilton; brother, Billy (Linda) Hanning; sisters, Marlene (Bill) Kittle, Laverna (Bob) McNerney, Laura (Bill) Dady and Monna Cantrell; several grandchildren, including Misty Hamilton, whom she raised from birth; several great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren and special family friend, B.J. Brownfield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Richard H. Hamilton; sons, Richard and Bryce; daughters, Sherry and Victoria Hamilton and Connie Stewart and brothers, Lester and James Hanning.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday.

Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
