Valerie A. (Harsch) Somers

Valerie A. Harsch Somers, 51, of Zanesville, passed away November 17, 2015 at Genesis Morrison House.

She was born, July 16, 1964 in Zanesville, daughter of Ralph (Donna) Harsch and the late Betty Knowlton.  Valerie was a dental assistant for several years for Dr. Cromwell.  She enjoyed cars, riding motorcycles, shooting guns and loved all animals.  She made awesome lasagna and awesome homemade pies.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, David Somers, whom she married April 22, 1989; sisters, Kimberly (Dannie) Mattingly and Pam (Sean) Zabel; step-sisters, Mellissa (Matt) Watson and Jennifer Fusner and her loving dogs, Taz and Casper.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents and nephew, Joshua Long.

Calling hours will be held 4-7 pm Thursday, November 19, 2015 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place Friday, November 20, 2015 at 11:00 am with Daryl Clark officiating. 

Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
