Ralph Earnest Jasper Jr.

Ralph Earnest Jasper Jr., 78, of Zanesville, passed away August 3, 2016 at his residence surrounded by family.

He was born October 12, 1937 in Zanesville, son of the late Ralph E. Jasper Sr. and Goldie White Jasper.  He was a Veteran of the United States Army and Air National Guard, member of the American Legion Post 29 and past member of the Zanesville Eagles.  He was an avid fisherman but not an avid catcher. He also loved hunting, camping, amateur photography, spending time with his family and dogs, Chloe and Lucy.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Trout Jasper; daughters, Karol (George) McFarland, Kelly (Gene) Grimes, Lori (Donnie) Garrett; step-children, Jamie Denise Trout, Keith Allen Semmons, Brian Semmons; brother, John Jasper; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Denny Jasper; nephew, David Jasper; granddaughter, Lindsey Grace Garrett.

Calling hours will be held 2-4 & 6-8 Friday August 5, 2016 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held Saturday August 6, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery with full Military Honors conducted by V.F.W. Post #1058 and American Legion Post 29.
