Melvina (Gheen) Larrick

Melvina Larrick, 71, of Zanesville, passed away March 11, 2017 at Genesis Morrison House.

She was born July 24, 1945 in Malta, daughter of the late Edward Gheen and Lillian Jenkins Gheen.  She worked as an STNA, social worker for the Muskingum County Senior Center for over twenty years.  She was also a Foster Grandmother for Genesis.  She was a member of the Shelter House Assembly of God.

She is survived by her daughter, Renea (Howard) Ross of Zanesville; son, Rodney (Angie) Larrick of Zanesville; sister, Ethel Lewis; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; special friend, Kenny Tucker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Larrick; foster parents, Earl and Della Lightle; brothers Amos, Harry, Donald, infant brother, Francis Gheen; sisters, Vernetta Church and Betty Thomas.

Calling hours will be held 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Wednesday March 15, 2017 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place at 1:00 pm with Pastor Joe Rowland officiating.  Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
