Mary Fontelle (Devoll) Gordon

Mary Fontelle (Devoll) Gordon, 83, a longtime Zanesville resident, passed away Friday July 21st at the home of her daughter near Somerset, Ohio.

She was born January 14th 1934 in Zanesville, Ohio the daughter of the late, James and Mrytle Devoll. She was a longtime member by faith of the First Church of God of Zanesville; she was formerly employed at Ballas Egg and Sunnyview Nursing Home.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life Robert G. Gordon one son Robert A. Gordon and by five brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her son, Shad Gordon; daughter, Sherry (Stanley) Tufts; five sisters, Viola Vandyne, Edith Donelson, Charlene McCormick, Ethel McCormick, Georgene Glass; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Delong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home where services will take place at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
