Martha Kay (Greiner) Johnson

Martha Kay Johnson, 78, of Zanesville, passed away June 8, 2017 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House, from a lengthy illness.

She was born June 18, 1938 in Zanesville, daughter of the late, H. Granville Greiner and Freda Marie Stone.  She was co-owner and operator of Johnsons Bowers Memorials in Sonora, OH and she also worked at Good Samaritan Hospital as a surgical technician.

She is survived by her husband, Byron Wayne “Joe” Johnson; children, Daniel (Linda) Nolan, Karen (Ron) Rice, Kathryn (Mark) Kohler; sisters, Marjorie Doubles, Mollie Hatfield; brother, Rudy (Suzy) Greiner; grandchildren, Ryan Nolan, Andrew Rice, Jessica Rice, Alexandria Long, Elizabeth Long and Samantha Long; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Edna B. Greiner; brother, James Stephen Greiner.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place at 12:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery Sonora, OH.
