Marlene L. Hoskinson

Marlene L. Hoskinson, 81, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at home Thursday September 24, 2015, following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

She was born February 8, 1934 in Licking View, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Thelma Lawyer Grosscup.

She was a homemaker and was formerly employed in retail by Elder-Berman. She is a member of Coburn United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Frederick Richard Hoskinson, whom she married July 16, 1951; daughter, Beverly (Robert) Bronkar of Nasport, Ohio; son, Frederick “Rick” Hoskinson, Jr. of Zanesville; brother, James (Betty) Grosscup of Zanesville; sister, Carol (Richard) Lohman of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister-in-law, Betty Jane Grosscup of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; grandchildren, Jennifer (Steven) Snider, Brandon (Kerry) Bronkar and Jan (Richard) Felumlee; great- grandchildren, Elijah Felumlee, Emma Felumlee and step-great granddaughters, Kendal Wilson, Alyssa Wilson, and Taylor Wolff and step great-great grandchildren, Brody, Jordan and Cope and Raelynn Wolff.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard and William Grosscup and sisters, Patricia Sheppard and Jean Lanning.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday, September 27, 2015 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held Monday at 10:00 AM.

Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
