Marcella I. (Monlux) West

Marcella I. West. 88, of Zanesville, passed away June 21, 2016 at Genesis Morrison House.

She was born February 18, 1928 in Zanesville, daughter of the late Clarence Monlux and Rosella Anderson Monlux.

She worked for March Electric, Holiday Inn, Good Samaritan Medical Center where she retired, was a member of East Forty Church of Christ, Seneca Sam Camping Club Chapter #26 and East Forty Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her son, K. Rick West (Debra King West  whom passed away May 22, 2016)of Cambridge; daughters, Shirley (Gerald) Pfeifer, Carol (Forest) Bollinger and Lisa (Andy) Hendrickson, all of Zanesville; brother, Kenneth Edward (Maxine) Monlux of Zanesville; sisters, Jean (Ronald) Clark of Norwich, Dorothy (Dale) German and Donna Shirer both of Zanesville; Fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard “Bernie” L. West whom she married May 7, 1949 in Greenup, Kentucky; son, Robert “Bob” West.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 pm Friday, June 24, 2016 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, June 25, 2016 at East Forty Church of Christ with Mr. Bill Meaige officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery.
