June Marie (Besser) Brooks

June Marie Brooks, 85, of South Zanesville, passed away December 4, 2016 at Cedar Hill Care Center.

She was born June 28, 1931 in Zanesville, daughter of the late, Harry Besser and Mable Carsey Besser.  She was waitress at Nolls and Maggies Restaurants for several years.  She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion.

She is survived by hers sons, Larry Brooks and Rick Brooks of South Zanesville; sister, Beverly Grubb of Zanesville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Basil Brooks; daughter, Patricia Ann Brooks; brothers, Harry Besser, Albert Besser, Dick Besser, Carl Besser; sisters, Betty Evans, Clara Bell Wills.

Calling hours will be held 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
