Jerry Dale Diehl Jr.

Jerry Dale Diehl Jr., 49, of Zanesville, passed away August 22, 2017 at his residence, on his birthday which became his rebirth, surrounded by family.

He was born on August 22, 1968 in Zanesville, son of Mona “Joyce” Thomas Diehl Robbins and the late, Jerry Dale Diehl Sr. 

Jerry Jr. was an avid Notre Dame, Cleveland Indians and Detroit Lions fan.  He was a jokester, loved listening to music and spending time with his family, friends and animals.  Jerry was a huge Kiss fan.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Jerry Diehl III, Jonah Diehl, Jade Diehl, Amber Claypool, Brandon Myers, Nick Hanning,; siblings, Terrie (Kevin Taylor) Diehl, Sherry (Tom Dutro) Diehl, Lisa Diehl, Andrew Craig (Mandi Appleman) Diehl Sr.; uncle, Larry Seevers; aunt, Ina Doyle and Juanita Stoneking; step-father, Donald “Whitey” Robbins; dog, Kane; cat, Peanut; best friend, Darren Koenieg; three granddaughters; three grandsons; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Orville and Opal Thomas, Mildred Seevers, Raymond Lyle and Jean Diehl; uncle, Lyle Diehl Jr.

Calling hours will be held 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2017 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home.  Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Trinity Full Gospel 535 Munson Ave. Zanesville, OH 43701.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Roseville, OH.
