Jack D. Lanning

Jack D. Lanning, 76, of Zanesville joined his wife in Heaven, December 24, 2015 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House.

He was born April 23, 1939 in Zanesville, son of the late Frederick and Ethel Yocum Lanning.  Jack retired from The Roekel Company after almost forty years of service.  He was a member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church, American Legion Post 29 and Eagles #302.

He is survived by his son, Ron (Cindy) Lanning, of Nashport; brothers, Richard and Leonard Lanning, both of Zanesville; sister, Sally Dingey; grandchildren, Dustin Lanning, of Nashport, Shane Lanning, of Indiana and Amanda (Brandon) Welsh, of Granville, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded by his wife of fifty-three years, Carol Sue Lanning who passed away December 5, 2015; brothers, Earnest Williams, Webb Williams and sister, Elouise Scott.  

Calling hours will be held 3-8 pm Tuesday, December 29, 2015 and 10-11am Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place 11:00 am Wednesday, December 30, 2015, with Pastor Linda Morrow officiating.  

Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
