David Ray McAbee

David R. McAbee Sr., 80 of Zanesville, passed away August 25, 2016 at Cedar Hill Nursing Center.

He was born September 15, 1935 in South Carolina, son of the late Barney McAbee and Cora Griffin McAbee.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine Miller McAbee; sons, David McAbee Jr., Edward (Dorothy) Fyffe; daughters, Judy (Rick) Rush, Imogene (Dwayne) Richards-King, Georgia (Jason) Richards-Wilcox; sister, Gladas Palmtree; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parent he was preceded in death by his son, William McAbee; daughter, Lenora Stebell; siblings, George, Bill, Gene, and Christine.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 11am-1pm at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home where services will take place at 1:00pm.  Burial will follow at Frazeysburg Cemetery.
