Alfree D.”Bub” Farquhar, Jr., 80, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away Monday June 8, 2015 at his residence.
He was born August 26, 1934 in Zanesville, son of the late Afree D. Farquhar, Sr. and Leona Young Farquhar.
He was a painter for several years and a Marine veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
Alfree is survived by his sons, Fred (Elizabeth) Devore, Howard Murphy, William Murphy, Roger Farquhar, Robert (Vicki) Farquhar, Tim Farquhar, Todd Farquhar and Steve (Penny) Farquhar; daughters, Becky (Richard) Riechman, Bonnie Sines, Eva (James) Hastings, Terri (Robert) Smith, Bonnie (Mike) Weaver and Debbie Caston; brother, Harold Farquhar; sisters, Judy Trout and Linda McDonald; twenty-one grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Alfree was preceded in death by his wife, June Lucille Farquhar; daughter, Karen Farquhar; brother, Robert Farquhar; sisters, Maxine Hill Thelma Jones and JoAnn White.
Calling hours will be held 5-7 pm Thursday, June 11, 2015 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home where services will take place 11:00 am Friday, June 12, 2015.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
